Operational Excellence
Ensuring our journey keeps getting better.
At the core of The Tranzit Group is operational excellence.
This is a key pillar in our business strategy and underpins our continuous improvement, team engagement, customer experience, health, safety and reliability and achieving KPIs for contracted partners.
To achieve this, we implement best practices that streamline processes, create efficiencies and improve service delivery while demonstrating leadership and teamwork in achieving business operational goals.
This continuous improvement within our working environments, also helps foster teamwork, collaboration and innovation.
Another important cog in this wheelhouse is the ability to slowdown from time to time. This allows our teams time to reflect, recognise and celebrate excellence in operational performance, excellence in our consistent delivery and in the quality of our services. This is why many of businesses hold annual awards to celebrate their achievements and ensure we can continue the long and proud legacy created by generations of Tranzit teams before us.
The Tranzit Group also achieved ISO 45001:2018 by accredited external auditor Telarc. This is an international and independent standard that reflects the Tranzit group of companies has an effective management system in place that creates safer work conditions and reflects our commitment to quality, productivity and customer satisfaction. It provides our customers and stakeholders confidence in our teams’ ability to deliver services and products consistently to a high standard and is a great reflection that our internal systems and processes are robust.
OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE CASE STUDY
Tranzit launches Australasia’s first 100% electric bus fleet
Tranzit Coachlines Manawatu has been operating in this region since 1987 and since 1998 has delivered public transport services on behalf of the Horizons Regional Council. During this time, our team has delivered all services, met Key Performance Indicators and continuously invested into the community by introducing Euro 6 low emission vehicles into the fleet. In 2022 we introduced one single deck electric bus into Palmerston North at no additional cost to Horizons or to ratepayers.
