Stakeholders and partnerships

We may not have built Transmission Gully – but we transported the team who did.

Tendered contracts make up a large proportion of The Tranzit Group’s business. This is because we work with our key partners and stakeholders to determine their transport requirements, then customise a contract that works for everyone involved and helps deliver on broader outcomes.

Our customised transport solutions suit our partners’ transport needs. We have a quality fleet of more than 2500 vehicles, national reach and an experienced, professional and knowledgeable team that can assist in the planning, sourcing and managing of any contract – big or small.

The high number of contracts we re-tender and retain is testament to the level of satisfaction our clients have in our service, delivery, competitive pricing and ability to innovate.

Because of the depth and breadth of our businesses, Tranzit Group can provide advice, procure, manage and maintain fleets, including electric buses. We also offer additional support as required such as guidance on charging infrastructure for electric buses.

This philosophy is extended to all our tourism industry partners including some of the world’s most recognised inbound tour operators; those in the cruise industry or regional tourism organisations located throughout New Zealand.

We believe in building lasting partnerships, that benefit both parties, by fostering trust, collaboration and delivering on our exceptional service.

Cross Country Rentals supporting Canterbury Solar

Cross Country Rentals has prominent involvement in helping the team constructing New Zealand’s largest solar farm in Canterbury.

Cross Country’s Rentals Christchurch branch has led our involvement with this exciting initiative, demonstrating their ability to meet the demands of major infrastructure projects.

This landmark 93-hectare solar farm, featuring 90,000 solar panels, will generate enough renewable energy to power nearly 13,000 homes.

Our Christchurch branch has supported the team constructing this project by delivering a fleet of site-specific vehicles on long-term hire, including:

  • Double-cab Utes for specialist technical teams
  • Flat-deck Utes for equipment transport,
  • Vans for construction crews.

This project reinforces Cross Country Rentals’ extensive history in supporting large-scale initiatives and supporting their clients.

“We’re proud to support this important project with reliable transportation,” said Daryl Kirk, manager of Cross Country Rentals Christchurch. “It’s a testament to our team’s hard work and the quality of our fleet.”
